The Larkey Private Swim Club is a seasonal private neighborhood swim club in the Walnut Creek area. We are open each May until the middle of October (or later if weather permits).

A membership to our club entitles you to the full use of the pool, discount and priority registration on all swim lessons, an opportunity for your children to join the award-winning Larkey Sharks, the option to rent the pool for after-hour events and the use of our picnic areas and BBQs for family functions or other events.

Maximum membership at the Larkey Private Swim Club is only two hundred families. It is never crowded, even on the hottest days and there are accomodations for lap swimming.

A lifeguard is always on duty and a salaried pool manager is available on site on a daily basis.

We offer two kinds of family membership:

Lifetime membership is a one-time fee and the membership is yours for "life" or until you choose to sell as long as you maintain "active" status by keeping your annual dues current.

Associate membership gives you all the benefits of the lifetime membership without the voting privileges on club matters/issues. It is only set up for a term of one seasonal year. This gives you a chance to try out the club; however, in order to continue on your membership for the subsequent year(s), you must purchase a lifetime membership thru the club at

As we are a cooperative, there are responsibilities for every member/associate member. There are two areas of membership obligations: four hours of maintenance and up to five two-hour shifts of gatekeeping. If you are unable to perform these duties, paid gatekeeping and maintenance can be arranged.

Dues and assessments in the amount of $650 were due on April 1, 2010. If you still own, please drop off your payment at the front desk at the pool or mail to: 1547 Palos Verdes Mall #169, Walnut Creek, CA 94597. Please note that per bylaws, only members paid-in-full may use the Larkey facilities. For families with children who participate on swim team, dues must be paid-in-full by Time Trials in order to participate in Time Trials.  Thank you to everyone for your cooperation.
