Larkey 2010 - A SAFE Summer!
Even though we are in the midst of winter, many people are busy planning for the upcoming summer. The Larkey Board is pleased to announce the theme for our upcoming swim season: Larkey 2010 - A SAFE Summer! The focus for 2010 will be "SAFE: Safety and Accountability makes Fun for Everyone".
This summer we recommit to educating our members and guests on Larkey rules and behavior expectations. In addition, all members will be accountable for their Larkey responsibilities and actions at the pool. This new focus and commitment to safety will help prevent accidents and keep Larkey safe, which makes fun for everyone!
Sign-up dates for maintenance work parties and gatekeeping shifts will be announced soon. Watch your email for upcoming information.
Finally, the Board has adopted the Larkey 2010 budget. Membership dues have remained stable for several years. However, expenses have increased and the Board has determined it necessary to increase dues for 2010. Annual dues for 2010 will be $560. The membership assessment remains $90. Total Larkey fees due on April 1, 2010 are $650.
For over 50 years, Larkey has been a successful cooperative swim club. I look forward to another great summer. As always, I welcome your questions, comments and suggestions.
See you at the pool,
Gloriann Sasser
Larkey President
